Motorcycle capability within covert surveillance is highly specialised and inherently high-risk. When applied correctly it can enhance resilience and flexibility; when misunderstood it introduces unnecessary exposure.

The Motorcycle Surveillance Awareness Course is a five-day, invitation-only programme designed to provide experienced operatives with structured awareness of motorcycle use within covert surveillance operations. It is not intended to create surveillance riders, nor to introduce new capability to the wider market.

The course exists to strengthen internal capability without compromising standards.

Highly Experienced Instructor

The course is delivered by a former Metropolitan Police and Home Office surveillance motorcyclist with over two decades of continuous operational deployment across serious and organised crime.

Having operated at every level of criminality and later supported the development of specialist teams, he continues to provide discreet motorcycle surveillance capability within the corporate and private sectors. Delivery is grounded in operational reality, professional judgment, and an understanding of governance, risk, and consequence.

This course is not open to general enrolment.

It is designed for trusted personnel already operating within surveillance environments who have demonstrated competence, judgment, and an understanding of professional restraint.

Attendance is strictly limited, the entry requirements are as follows:

  • Completion of our accredited Foot & Mobile Surveillance Course

  • Prior operational deployment with us and demonstrated competence

  • Proven experience as a capable motorcyclist

  • Provision of own motorcycle and appropriate PPE

  • Attendance by invitation only

This course does not qualify attendees as surveillance motorcyclists. No accreditation is issued and there is no implied authority to deploy independently in a motorcycle surveillance role.
